The Consumer Electronics Show is one of the largest trade shows in the world. Companies from all over the globe come to show off new innovations for the world to see. CES 2019 is our second time attending, and we had lots to see, and lots of food to try after we left the show (and some to try while we there).
After a somewhat lackluster trip through Google’s assistant demo (seriously, we’re not newbies here, we know Google Assistant can turn on lights and give us a morning briefing), we wandered through x only to find a food truck handing out free sliders.
Impossible Foods brought with their plant based creation, and served them up in little sliders for those of us who wanted to give it a shot.
The patty on my slider was more like a sausage patty in both taste and texture than a hamburger patty. No complaints there. It was a little zippy – there was definitely some spice included. Whether that’s because the makers like spice or a plant patty needs some spicing up, well, I didn’t feel like asking. It was certainly tasty. If I flew back home from Nevada to find that all the sausage patties at restaurants and stores were replaced by these, I doubt I’d even notice.
