The Consumer Electronics Show is one of the largest trade shows in the world. Companies from all over the globe come to show off new innovations for the world to see. CES 2019 is our second time attending, and we had lots to see, and lots of food to try after we left the show (and some to try while we there).
The Las Vegas Donut Bar has been on our radar for a little bit now – it’s almost impossible not to see people sharing beautiful pictures of their creations on Instagram. So we headed over for breakfast.
Donut Bar ends up being a small little spot about two blocks away from Heart Attack Grill on Fremont Street. For designer level breakfast treats, we were also expecting to spend a lot more here and ended up very pleasantly surprised at the prices.
I mean, just look at all that. They’ve got something for you, that’s pretty much the easiest way to put it. They serve coffee, but if coffee isn’t your thing you’ll be getting a bottled juice or dealing with it because they don’t have any soda (lame). You’ll also probably be getting your food to go because there just isn’t a whole lot of sitting room either.
For my part, I tried to tackle a Big Poppa Tart, which has an entire Pop Tart inside of it – this one was the s’mores variety. It utterly defeated me, and I made it about two thirds of the way through before the sugar running through my body threatened to cause me to levitate like a cartoon. The old fashioned on the other hand was much more down to earth, and I could have eaten two or three of them (and probably should have versus the Big Poppa Tart).
If you’re in Vegas, you have to go here and try one. If only to get the Instagram picture that one of these is worth. They’re delightful, but if you go for one of the big ones – do yourself a favor and don’t try and tackle it yourself. Split it with someone else.
